![]() ![]() The aggressive French heavy metal act is a staple on the metal festival tour lineups. While many fans are anxiously awaiting new music, the side stage area was packed with nostalgic fans of this formidable band that included a sneak peak of a new track, “Desert Rambler”. The reunited Illinois-based alt rockers tore their way through a seven song set that was highlighted by their 1995 radio hit “Stars”. Her mixtape, Fever was released this past summer and the breakout buzz on this artist is the reason she garnered a main stage spot. Hailing from Houston, Texas the upstart rapper Megan Thee Stallion kicked off the main stage with a quick half hour set that was highlighted by “Freak Nasty” and “Hot Girl Summer”. With two stages the music virtually never stopped after the gates to the venue opened at 3:30pm. Chino Moreno and the Deftones sure know how to throw a party as by sundown the sold out crowd was in festive mode and ready for a jam packed night of eclectic music. Commemorative Deftones-inspired beers from Belching Beaver were a hit at concession stands, a collaboration that has now spawned 4 different options.
